We set sail from Shamrock Quay marina in Southampton on 1st June 2008 and started our adventure!! After 48 hours of serious partying, we were really pleased to see all these people had managed to get up despite hangovers and come down to wave us off on the Sunday morning:

After receiving a text inviting us to Cowes for a beer with Jeni & Clive on Humber Spectre, we were amazed to find that Pete, Dawn, Will and Helen had got on a ferry and chased us over to the Isle of Wight for a second send off:

We spent the "summer" of 2008 cruising the Channel Islands then the Atlantic coast of France as far as La Rochelle, before crossing the Bay of Biscay in October and laying the boat up in the Deportivo El-Abra Getxo marina in Bilbao, Spain. We returned to the UK/France for the winter to earn some money and returned by ferry to Bilbao on 6th May 2009 to continue our voyage, planning to take in in the Atlantic coast of Spain and part of Portugal from May to July then out 850nm into the Atlantic to visit the Azores, then back to the Algarve, Gibraltar and into the Med in October.

Our longer term aim is to arrive in New Zealand in around 10 years time and then use that as a base to explore the South Pacific islands. We hope that friends and family will take the opportunity to spend periods of time cruising with us and share our experience direct, but for those unable to travel we try and keep the website up to date with news and pictures in our logbook.
